BALIKPAPAN - The government is committed to accelerating the construction of four Office complexes of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

Head of the Infrastructure Development Task Force for the Archipelago Capital (IKN) of the Ministry of PUPR, Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, said that one office complex of the Coordinating Ministry each consists of four towers.

Thus, the total ASN offices currently being built in IKN have at least 16 towers for initial development. The target is that the 16 office towers will be completed by the end of the year.

"Some of the buildings (such as) the 1st and 2nd floors will be used by ceremony officers. Whether to hold or stay overnight," said Danis at IKN, Friday, August 9.

Danis said, the 1st and 2nd floors of each office of the Coordinating Ministry have now received electricity supplies to clean water. So, it is possible to use it as accommodation for ceremony participants at IKN before being officially used as an office.

"So, for the 1st and 2nd floors, there is already electricity, toilets, air conditioning. It will be used for ceremonies," he said.

On the same occasion, Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja added, later each tower will be filled by two ministries. Thus, a total of 16 Office towers are expected to accommodate 32 ministries.

"So there are 4, Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, and the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy. Currently, there are 32 Ministries, 8 ministries each, so one building will have 2 Ministries," added Endra.

The plan, said Danis, is that the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) will be filled by 8 ministries.

Kemenko 2 is filled by the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy. Then, Kemenko 3 will be filled by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and Coordinating Ministry 4 will be filled by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.
