JAKARTA - A foreign national (WNA) from China with the initials CZ alias BC (61) was arrested by a Class I Immigration officer non TPI Central Jakarta for falsifying population documents while making Indonesian passports.

The man who works as a chef (cheap champion) initially came to the Central Jakarta Immigration office with a woman who will be used as his wife with the initials JA (52).

Uniquely, when submitting a request for an Indonesian passport, CZ actually pretended to be silent and deaf when an interview was going to be carried out by Immigration officers.

"This case stems from the entry of the application file for Indonesian passports," said the Head of the Regional Office of the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Andika Dwi Prasetya, to reporters, Friday, August 9.

Andika said that for the entry of the file, the intelligence unit of the Central Jakarta Immigration Office found suspicions when the CZ of the Indonesian passport applicant could not speak and could not hear.

"So to members, JA said that CZ is deaf and blind," said Andika.

Another suspicion is that the KTP owned by CZ is not registered. This was discovered when the officer checked through a QR Code scan on the person concerned's ID card. From the results of the scan, it turned out that the ID card was on behalf of someone else.

"On the two suspicions, officers conducted an in-depth investigation regarding violations of the provision of false data," he said.

Then after development. It is known that CZ made a fake ID card via Facebook and met someone with the initials SS. To make a fake CZ ID card, it costs Rp 1.5 million.

"From the results of the investigation, it is known that CZ wants to make a passport for the purpose of marrying JA. Then JA uses SS services to trick the immigration authorities," he said.

Head of Immigration Division of DKI Jakarta Regional Office of Law and Human Rights, Wahyu Eka Putra, said that the perpetrators of CZ and JA previously met in the Netherlands when the two were there.

"So CZ met JA in the Netherlands. CZ works as a chef or chef in the Netherlands, CZ is a Chinese citizen. From the meeting, he was finally bound by a relationship between CZ and JA. Because JA status in the Netherlands without a residence permit, it was also difficult for them to get married in Europe," he said.

Furthermore, the CZ perpetrator invited JA to marry in Indonesia. The two then came to Indonesia to change their citizenship status.

"But JA took the initiative to make passports at the Central Jakarta immigration office," he said.

For their actions, the three suspects were charged with Article 126 letter C of Law Number 6/2011 concerning immigration.

"The penalty is five years in prison or a fine of Rp. 500 million," he said.

Wahyu said, for his actions, the three perpetrators had to undergo a trial process, then if the trial process had been carried out, CZ would be deported and given a standard policy.

"So that the person concerned cannot enter Indonesia again," he said.
