Not Worried About Being Left Alone From The Emergence Of KIM Plus, PDIP: Everyone Has A Support Base

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto admitted that his party is not worried that it will be left in the map of the coalition for the nomination of candidates for the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada.

Although, currently the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) consisting of the Gerindra, Golkar, PAN, Democrat, and PSI parties has opened a discourse to form KIM Plus by attracting other political parties (political parties) that have seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD to carry Ridwan Kamil.

"There is no attempt to stay dead, because everyone has a basis for people's support," said Hasto at the National Gallery, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 8.

PDIP, continued Hasto, actually also collaborated with the 2024 Pilkada coalition in other areas with a number of parties that supported Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election. Thus, PDIP's potential to be left alone became small.

"For example, in Banten, we have worked a lot with the Golkar Party. In Central Java there are around 10 (regencies/cities) with Gerindra. Likewise in East Java, with PAN in big cities, we have built a lot of cooperation, including in Bengkulu," said Hasto.

Hasto emphasized that the constellation of candidacy in the Jakarta gubernatorial election is still dynamic. The party led by Megawati Soekarno is still observing the maneuvers of other political parties before carrying the Jakarta cagub-cawagub.

"In addition to moving, we also see how the movement of other political parties will be. But in the end, the reduction will occur ahead of registration on August 27. From the PDI-P, of course, we will try to be in front so that the people can find out earlier about which candidates are promoted by the PDI-P," said Hasto.

The discourse of KIM Plus was first raised by the Daily Chair of Gerindra, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, who stated that parties that have different supports in the 2024 presidential election, will join KIM in regional elections, including Jakarta.

Former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil (RK) is confirmed to run in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada under KIM Plus. RK will be declared a candidate for governor (cagub) Jakarta in the near future.

Nasdem, PKS, and PKB also have the opportunity to join KIM Plus. Nasdem still seems doubtful in supporting Anies Baswedan and has yet to provide an official recommendation letter to Anies to run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Meanwhile, PKB support for Anies is still at the DPW level of Jakarta Province. The PKB DPP has not yet provided an official recommendation to Anies and has even recently considered joining KIM Plus.

PKS has officially supported Anies Baswedan, but was immediately duetted with PKS cadre Sohibul Iman. However, the Jakarta gubernatorial election could be one of the PKS bargainings that had asked to join the upcoming Prabowo-Gibran government.
