1,000 Yarindo Pills Seized From Arrest Of 2 Dealers In Temanggung

The Temanggung Resort Police (Polres) have arrested two suspected drug dealers with the initials SF (27) and RA (28). From the hands of the suspect, 1,000 Yarindo pills were secured.

"Members searched the house of suspect SF, found evidence in the room, including a white bottle containing 1,000 white pills bearing the Y/pil Yarindo logo, a plastic clip containing 10 white pills bearing the Y-letter logo, and a plastic clip containing 4 Yarindo pills," said Temanggung Police Narcotics Head Iptu Rio Putra Simanjuntak in Temanggung, Central Java, Tuesday, August 6, confiscated by Antara.

Rio explained that the suspect SF, a resident of Caruban Village, Kandangan, and suspect RA, a resident of Banyuurip Village, Temanggung Regency, received Yarindo pills by buying large quantities and then repackaging them into small packages.

Furthermore, the suspects SF and Ra resell them for profit.

When he received a report on the circulation of these illicit goods, it was found that the suspect SF sold Yarindo hard drugs, each package containing 10 pills at a price of Rp. 25-Rp. 30 thousand.

The suspect SF was then arrested by members of the Temanggung Police on June 19, 2024 at 02.00 WIB

Based on the interrogation, the suspect SF admitted to buying Yarindo pills from suspect RA.

"The suspect RA admitted to buying Yarindo pills from Fajar (DPO), transactions were carried out by communicating via cellphone, then meeting in Semarang Old Town," said Rio.

Rio added that the suspect RA bought three bottles of Yarindo pills at a price of IDR 750 thousand per bottle, then he sold them again at a price of IDR 1.5 million per bottle filled with 1,000 pills.

For his actions, the suspect is accused of committing a criminal act of every person who distributes pharmaceutical preparations that do not meet standards and/or requirements meet the safety, efficacy or benefit, and quality or person who does not have expertise and authority, but performs pharmaceutical practices related to pharmaceutical preparations in the form of hard drugs as referred to in Article 435 or Article 436 paragraph (2) of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health

"The threat of imprisonment is a maximum of 12 years or a maximum fine of Rp. 5 billion," he said.
