JAKARTA - The transgender or transgender beauty contest which was held at the Orchardz hotel, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta, received strong criticism from netizens. Moreover, one of the contestants came from Aceh.

"He said that in Aceh, you can't just go out... What are you doing?", wrote the account @dimascindyy_18, quoted by VOI, Tuesday, August 6.

The transgender contest activity, which was recorded by amateur and viral videos on social media, began to be criticized by netizens.

"It's an obedient city, really," wrote a comment from the @ndram account.

"He said Mecca," wrote @arstriyono89.

In the video footage, broadcast the announcement of the contest winner which was held last Sunday, August 4.

The contest, which was allegedly attended by transgender representatives from each province in Indonesia, was won by a transgender with a cross-sectional cloth that reads Aceh.

From the recording, it can be seen that a transgender contestant is odd wearing the words Aceh. He was named the winner in the contest that did not have the official permit.

The video also shows the organizers then crowning the winner followed by boisterous spectators.

Meanwhile, regarding this activity, the Central Jakarta Metro Police is still conducting an investigation.
