Police Arrest 2 Perpetrators Of Stabbing Injured 2 Victims At Ntar Fair Lampung

The Natar Police in South Lampung arrested two stabbing perpetrators resulting in two of their victims being injured at the closing ceremony of the Natar Fair, in South Lampung Regency.

"The Tekab 308 Polsek Natar team managed to secure RS (24) and A (16) after the riot incident which resulted in victims J (20) and DN (19) suffering stab wounds that occurred in the Natar Fair parking area, Hajimena Village, Natar District, South Lampung, on Sunday (28 July 2024), at around 00.30 WIB," said Natar Police Chief, Kompol Hendra Saputra, in South Lampung, Monday, August 5, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the incident began with a dispute between J and I in mid-July 2024, where they had a fight because they almost collided while riding a motorcycle.

"They met again at the close of Natar Fair, Saturday, July 27, 2024. Initially, 5 people contacted the victim's friends to come to the location. At that time, victims J and DN came to the location, they were immediately beaten by more than 5 perpetrators," he said.

He added that the perpetrator used a knife when he attacked victim J so that he suffered a right back stab wound, while the victim DN suffered stab wounds to the right back and abrasions to the neck.

Due to this incident, his party immediately moved to hunt down the perpetrators. And managed to arrest the perpetrators of the hospital in Hajimena Village, Natar District, and A in the Bandar Lampung area.

"From the perpetrator's statement, they admitted that they participated in hitting the victim, and we are still hunting the other perpetrators. From the results of the arrest, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of a knife allegedly used by the perpetrator to attack the victim, a black short-sleeved shirt and one trousers," he said.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning beatings that jointly and openly committed violence against people or goods with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years and 6 months.
