Press Stunting Rate, Babel Provincial Government Reminds The Importance Of Vegetable Consumption Children

BABEL - Local governments continue to strive to increase public awareness in consuming vegetables and protein. Likewise with the PKK TP of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, which campaigns to eat vegetables for children in order to reduce the stunting rate.

"This is one of our efforts to reduce stunting," said Acting Chairman of the PKK TP Babel Islands Province Safriati Safrizal during a vegetable harvest with kindergarten children at the Cikar Pangkalpinang PKK Garden, Sunday, August 4.

He said that in promoting quality food consumption, one of which is vegetables for children, said the Acting Chairperson of the TP PKK Babel Islands initiated that children should harvest spinach and kale at the Cikar PKK Garden at the Bangka Belitung Islands Governor's Office House.

"Today we invite the children of TK Pembina 2 Pangkalpinang to harvest together. Through this activity, we introduce our children about cultivating plants in the yard. They also learn to know the types of vegetables they consume daily," he said.

According to him, in addition to introducing various vegetables, the Babel Islands PKK TP also educates children about the benefits of consuming vegetables, because by eating nutritious food, these children can continue to grow healthy and active.

"Alhamdulillah, children look very enthusiastic and they try to harvest as much as possible to take home so that they can be consumed with their families," he said.

Principal of TK Pembina 2 Pangkalpinang Puji Lasmini hopes that this activity will be carried out regularly because children can learn and get to know the types of vegetables and toga plants directly.

"Through this activity, we also hope that with the introduction and education of the PKK Management, children will increasingly like to eat vegetables and eat other healthy foods," he said.*
