The Figure Of T Has Not Been Revealed, Bareskrim Reschedules Examination Of The Head Of BP2MI

JAKARTA - Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani is rescheduled to provide information regarding the person with the initials T on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

The reason is that today's inspection process has not been fully completed.

"To immediately answer public questions, we invite (inspection) August 1," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, Monday, July 29.

In the process of scheduling the follow-up examination, Benny had asked investigators to schedule it next week.

However, due to seeking clarity from the figure of T, investigators remain in his stance by scheduling additional examinations this week.

"The person concerned asked for August 5th," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the reasons for re-scheduling Benny's examination, it was said that investigators had not yet received complete information regarding the figure with the initials T in question by the Head of BP2MI.

Therefore, to reveal the true figure of the initials T, investigators rescheduled the examination of Benny Rhamdani.

"We have asked (initial T) but (Benny) has not answered clearly," said Djuhandhani.

As previously reported, Benny Rhamdani has been undergoing examination for five and a half hours related to the figure T who is said to be controlling online gambling practices in Indonesia.

Investigators are said to have asked 22 questions about the problem and are now in the spotlight.

However, Benny explained that the person with the initials T was not the controller of online gambling. T is called Benny the mastermind behind the criminal case of trafficking in persons or TIP.

"My speech and what was conveyed in an internal meeting or limited meeting at the palace was about preventing criminal acts of trafficking in persons," said Benny.

"So when it comes to the Cambodian issue, it has something to do with where our illegally dispatched workers are employed in the online gambling business and online scamming," he continued.
