TANGERANG Two members of different community organizations (ormas) argued on Monday night, July 22, at Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel). According to information obtained, the commotion was triggered by illegal levies (extortion) at coffee shops and food stalls.

Two members involved in the commotion came from Forkabi and DKPB Banten in front of Indomaret, Jalan Raden Fatah, Parung Serab Ciledug, Tangerang City. However, the commotion continued until it entered the Tangsel area, Pondok Aren area.

The police who received the information immediately checked the location and dispersed the commotion. A number of members of mass organizations suspected of being provocateurs were arrested by the police.

When contacted, the Head of Pondok Aren Police, Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq said that if the problem had been resolved, it would end peacefully.

Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq explained that the dispute was due to extortion problems at coffee shops (warkop) and devil sambel stalls in the Pondok Kacang area, not far from the treatment of Gopli, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel).

"The problem of extortion at warkop is the same at the human sambel shop in the Gopli area. We have finished everything," said Bambang when confirmed, Tuesday, July 23.

Currently, the two mass organizations have reconciled, after they made an agreement not to repeat similar incidents in the future.

"We prioritize prevention and mediation efforts for every problem so that it does not lead to revenge," he said

Dedi, part of the mass organization, admitted that he had made peace. This happened after representatives of the Banten DKPB mediated with Forkabi at the Pondok Aren Police.

"The persecution incident as referred to is 351 of the Criminal Code which occurred on Monday, July 22, at 21.00 WIB on Jalan Raden Fatah, Parung Serab, Tangerang City. With this, both parties resolve the problem in deliberation," said Dedi, a representative of the Banten DKPB.

If in the future both parties violate this concept, then both parties are willing to be prosecuted.
