Kaesang Admits His Electability Is Very Low In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep admitted that his electability was very low if he advanced in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

This was conveyed by Kaesang in response to the results of the Kompas Research and Development survey for the DKI Jakarta Pilkada which was released some time ago.

"So, it will be an evaluation material for our team because we are high in Central Java, but here (Jakarta) we are a little lower, not a little, but very low," said Kaesang at the PSI DPP office, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 18.

Kaesang is also still evaluating his high electability in Central Java. This evaluation was carried out before deciding whether he would run in Jakarta or Central Java.

"Later, we will conduct an evaluation, between the Jakarta and Central Java teams," he said.

Kaesang has communicated with a number of political parties, including the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Golkar Party.

The Golkar Party opens up opportunities for Kaesang to be duet with his cadre Jusuf Hamka.

However, PSI Deputy Chairperson of the DPP Andy Budiman said there was no final agreement with the Golkar Party regarding the DKI Jakarta Pilkada.
