On The Third Day Of Operation Obeying Jaya, There Are Still Many Traffic Violators

JAKARTA - A number of motorcyclists who do not wear Helems were forcibly dismissed by East Jakarta Satlantas officers who carried out the Patuh Jaya 2024 operation on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, July 17, morning.

This successful compliant operation is the third day held by the East Jakarta Traffic Unit. Hundreds of violators were recorded as E-TLE and received verbal reprimands.

"I didn't wear a helmet because the house was close. I didn't know the operation had started to comply," said Jaya, a motorcyclist who traffic violators to reporters at the location, Wednesday, July 17.

In addition, other two-wheeled riders who violated traffic regulations also had time to turn around to avoid police raids.

Although the East Jakarta Satlantas officers did not give witnesses a ticket during the operation on this third day, motorists who violated the crowd looked scared.

In addition to giving warnings, the traffic police also gave brochures of appeal to violators.

From the observations of journalists in the field, traffic violators come from children to adults. There is even a 6-year-old boy who is desperate to ride an electric motorbike across the highway without wearing a helmet. The boy did not escape the advice of Polantas officers.

East Jakarta Deputy Head of Traffic, AKP Sunaryo said the target of Jaya's obedient operation on Jalan Basuki Rahmat targeted current resistance vehicles and did not wear helmets and plate numbers removed.

"There are many four-wheeled vehicles that do not wear a safety belt. As of the third day, more than 100 have been affected by the action for the Patuh Jaya operation. It is still a warning," said AKP Sunaryo.

Violators have also been recorded by the system. They were given education related to the Jaya 2024 compliant operation.
