TANGERANG - Two buskers with the initials MR (24) and N (40) were arrested by the Pasar Kemis Police. They were arrested for theft of motorbikes (Curanmor) at Bumi Indah Housing, Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency, Wednesday, July 10.

The Head of the Pasar Kemis Police, AKP Ucu Nuryandi, said the theft took place in June 2024, then. However, the police only arrested the perpetrator yesterday.

"It's true that two men who work as buskers were arrested," said Ucu in his statement, Friday, July 12.

Ucu explained, in their actions these two buskers toured while monitoring the house that was the target.

Arriving at one of the houses, the two men committed theft of a vehicle in a motorbike parked in the yard.

At that time, the owner of the house was aware of the theft. Pursuit was immediately pursued. One person was arrested by residents. However, after being prosecuted, there was no strong evidence to detain the perpetrators.

"One of the perpetrators with the initials MR alias Ucil was successfully secured by residents and taken to the Pasar Kemis Police for further processing. However, at that time there was not enough evidence. The perpetrator who was caught denied being involved. Finally, we released but secretly we continued to monitor it and carry out surveillance," he said.

Even though it has been released, continued Ucu, his party continues to monitor until finally on July 10, then Ucil returns to action with N in the Teluknaga area, Tangerang Regency.

"Then we searched and found items in the form of 1 key Leter T. After being interrogated it was true that the item belonged to him," he said.

Furthermore, his party carried out developments. As a result, it was discovered that there was a man with the initials P who was suspected of being a collector. Then the team of investigators arrested the alleged perpetrator.

Currently, the 3 perpetrators have been named as suspects. The two perpetrators of the theft were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code.

"And the collectors are subject to Article 480 of the Criminal Code with threats of more than 5 years in prison," he concluded.
