JAKARTA - Iran's elected President Masoud Pezeshkian assured Palestinians and resistance groups his government would provide unshakable support in the fight against Israel.

In his letter to the leader of the militant group Hamas, Pezeshkian thanked him for his success in winning the Iranian elections.

Pezeshkian reiterated its government commitment to adhere to the principles and goals of the Islamic revolution, convincing Haniyeh Iran will continue to support the Palestinian people and its struggle against the occupation of the Zionist apartheid regime.

"The Islamic Republic will continue to offer unshakable support to the oppressed Palestinian people until their rights are fully restored, their goals are met, and al-Quds are released," Pezeshkian said.

He also expressed his belief that Palestine would be the main winner given the historic resistance shown by the Palestinian people and Gaza, as well as the heroic efforts made by resistance fighters in the ongoing war against the Israeli regime.

Pezeshkian, a doctor who turned into a politician, won Iran's second-round presidential election on July 5 by winning 53.66 percent of the vote.

Separately, Gaza's health authorities confirmed on Thursday that the death toll of Palestinians since the conflict in Gaza broke had reached 38,345 people and injured 88,295 people, with the majority of the victims being women and children, quoted from WAFA.
