Cak Imin Asks The National Police Chief To Take Action On The Police Who Beat Peti Setiawan In Detention

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) admitted that he was sad about the case of Pegi Setiawan who was the victim of the wrong arrest for Vina's murder in Cirebon by the West Java Regional Police. Moreover, Pegi admitted that he was abused while in detention.

Cak Imin asked the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to impose sanctions on the West Java Regional Police who had harmed the community. Moreover, there are also officers who abuse civilians in other areas.

"Yes, this is sad, I ask the National Police Chief to really supervise and take action so that people are not harmed both in Cirebon, in North Sumatra and in several other areas," said Cak Imin, Tuesday, July 9.

Previously, Pegi Setiawan explained that he received a lot of verbal and physical violence.

"There are a lot of harsh words. There are a lot of threats," said Pegi after the pretrial application was granted by the Bandung District Court judges, Monday, July 8.

Pegi also admitted that he received injuries from the physical violence that he said was given by the building's ruler.

"I've been hit in the eye here, Mas Anang has seen it, Yanti's mother has seen it, I've shown it," he said.

"That's one of the building's rulers," continued Pegi.
