JAKARTA - Investigators from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) have handed over the case files of police officers who are suspects for being forced against their biological children to the NTB High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) for further legal proceedings.

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Syarif Hidayat said that the transfer of the case file was a follow-up to the results of investigators who had completed the filing needs.

"Yes, because it has been completed in the investigation, we have transferred the file to the research prosecutor," said Syarif in Mataram, NTB, Monday, July 8, quoted by Antara.

He said investigators are now waiting for the results of the prosecutor's research, whether the case file for the suspect IR, who is a member of Bhabinkamtibmas on Sumbawa Island, is declared complete or not.

"We have sent the file to the research prosecutor on Friday (June 28) and now we are just waiting for the results of the prosecutor's research. If the research prosecutor states that the case file is complete, then we will immediately follow up to phase two, namely the delegation of suspects and evidence to the public prosecutor," he said.

Terkait keberadaan tersangka IR dipastikan Syarif masih dilakukan penahanan di Polda NTB.

Previously, the Head of the Mataram Child Protection Agency (LPA) Joko Jumadi said the IR suspect had been forced since his biological daughter was in elementary school.

"The victim has experienced sexual violence by his own biological father, since (the victim) was in grade 6 elementary school until he graduated from high school," said Joko Jumadi, who is also a companion to the victim.

The forced action is often carried out at his home when his wife is sleeping or not at home. Every action, explained Joko, suspects often threaten the victim.

"The threat will leave the victim's mother and will not take care of the victim's younger siblings if they are not served," he said.

LPA Mataram provides assistance to victims based on complaints reports. Victims who are already tired of the suspect's actions choose to speak up and report this case to the NTB Police.
