JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has the opportunity to examine the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, regarding the alleged construction of a green house that emerged from the former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo camp. "Indeed, we have information related to the problem of building this green house," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.

Asep then agreed with the statement of the KPK spokesman, Tessa Mahardika, who said that anyone related to corruption would definitely be questioned.

"Anyone related to criminal acts of corruption, we will ask for information," he said.

Furthermore, Asep said that his institution is still investigating the alleged money laundering (TPPU) that ensnared Syahrul Yasin Limpo. It is certain that the case will be handled thoroughly.

"As for the position, bribery in his position, extortion in his position is being tried and then prosecuted, right, yes, that's what is currently underway in court. Now, what is being investigated is money laundering offenses," he said.

As previously reported, the Syahrul Yasin Limpo camp revealed that the alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) was not only about extortion and receiving gratuities. There is also a matter of imports whose value reaches trillions until the construction of a green house on Pulau Seribu uses institutional money.

This was conveyed by SYL's attorney, Djamaluddin Koedoeboen, after the prosecutor read out the charges against the three defendants.
