BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Government reviewed the permit for the construction of a tourist attraction carried out by one of the Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of West Java Province in the tea plantation area of the Puncak Tourism Area.

Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu explained that the review was carried out with the blessing of the West Java Provincial Government as a form of support and commitment to structuring the Puncak Tourism Area.

The review, he said, was carried out to ensure that development did not interfere with the water catchment area.

"The mainstay project was built by PT Jaswita as a BUMD for West Java Province. We went to the field to check the permits. If it is not appropriate, we will act according to the applicable regulations," said Asmawa as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 3.

Efforts to review the project also forced the construction process carried out by PT Jaswita to be temporarily suspended.

"Yes, that's right (it was dismissed). If the dismissal was carried out by the management itself. Our team has gone to the field," said Asmawa.

Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin during a visit to the Bogor Regency Government office complex, Thursday (27/6), fully supports the Bogor Regency Government in controlling the Puncak Tourism Area, including stopping the construction of tourist areas built by West Java BUMD.

"We know that there (the peak) is an object built by our BUMD. If it violates the rules, please take firm action," said Bey.

The construction of the tourist attraction is located in Retired Village, Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency. The construction is located on an area of 16 hectares owned by PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) in collaboration with PT Jaswita
