North Sumatra Police Examine 16 Witnesses In The Death Of Karo Journalists Covering Gambling Due To Fire

MEDAN - The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) examined 16 witnesses related to the death of Perfect Pasaribu journalist resulting in a house fire on Jalan Nambung Surbakti, Karo Regency, North Sumatra.

"They have been questioned, both from their families and people who saw the fire," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi in Medan, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 2.

Investigations and investigations into the case are still ongoing related to the cause of the fire.

In this case, the police conducted a search based on the facts on the ground.

"Not based on opinions or assumptions, but we have proven everything scientifically," said the Head of Public Relations.

Therefore, he said, the forensic laboratory team, Inafis, the General Criminal Directorate of the North Sumatra Police, and the Tanah Karo Police continued to work.

"The autopsy has been carried out by the team with the cause of death due to fire. In addition, there is an issue that his wife is pregnant and turns out to have a cyst disease," he said.

The autopsy is still ongoing. Therefore, his party is still waiting for the full results from the Bhayangkara Hospital in Medan.

Prior to the incident, the victim reported that there was gambling and drugs in Karo's jurisdiction, according to Hadi, the police were working for the facts in the fire.

The previous report stated that four people died as a result of a house fire on Jalan Nambung Surbakti, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency, Thursday (27/5).

The four victims were named Perfect Pasaribu, Efrida Boru Ginting (wife), Sudiinveseti Pasaribu (child), and Lowi Situngkir (grandson).
