Geger, The Discovery Of A 15-year-old Woman's Body Without Clothing In North Gorontalo

GORONTALO - North Gorontalo Resort Police (Polres) Gorontalo Province is conducting an investigation regarding the discovery of a naked woman's body in Ketapang Village, Gentuma Raya District.

"A resident (male) who works as a handyman reported the discovery of a woman's corpse with a rotting body condition. We are further investigating the cause of death of the victim whose identity has been identified," said North Gorontalo Police Chief AKBP Andik Gunawan, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 2.

The body is now at Bhayangkara Hospital for autopsy purposes.

Andik explained the chronology of the discovery of the corpse. At around 06.09 WITA, the Atinggola Police in the eastern region of the district received information from the public about the discovery of a corpse.

The victim, identified as a 15-year-old student from Nanati Jaya Village, Gentuma Raya District. An eye witness, a resident, said that at around 06.00 WITA, he took his cow and was about to defecate in the bushes. At that time, the witness smelled a pungent smell like a carcass and found the corpse.

"The witness immediately called a friend who was near the location, then reported the discovery to the village apparatus and the police," said Andik.

The police immediately secured the location and processed the crime scene (TKP) led by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Mohamad Adam.

"I urge the public to remain calm, maintain the situation and condition of the region well in responding to this. We are trying to quickly carry out an investigation," added Andik.
