Injuries For Decades, Prabowo Undergoes Left Leg Surgery At Bintaro Hospital, Jakarta

JAKARTA - Defense Minister (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto underwent surgery at the State Defense Center Hospital (RSPPN) Panglima Besar Soedirman, Jakarta, for his left leg which was injured in an accident while he served as a soldier in the 1980s.

Prabowo explained that the operation took place last week, and he is currently undergoing postoperative recovery.

"I've had two umbrella accidents while on duty in the TNI in the 1980s on my left leg. I'm still feeling this injury," Prabowo said in his official broadcast and his personal Instagram account @prabowo confirmed in Jakarta, Sunday.

He said that after undergoing a recovery period, he was ready to return to his activities.

"God willing, with a healthy condition in the future, I am increasingly ready to serve and serve the country and people of Indonesia. Thank you to the whole community for their prayers and support," said Prabowo.

On the same occasion, he also thanked Allah SWT and a team of doctors who managed to operate his left leg, then the nurse team and all the medical personnel on duty at the Bintaro RSPPN, Jakarta.

He mentioned the names of several doctors, including Brigadier General TNI (Ret.) dr. Robert Hutauruk, Colonel dr. Sunaryo, dr. Siska Widayati, and dr. Thomas.

"I am aware and understand that the medical actions I am undergoing are full of risks and life risks. I assure myself that all of this is for the country and the nation. I also believe that the team of doctors and all the medical personnel who handle it are reliable and professional," said Defense Minister Prabowo, who is also a presidential candidate elected for the 2024 period., 2029.

In the same broadcast, Prabowo also thanked the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo who came directly to the RSPPN to visit Prabowo.

"Thank you to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo for providing moral support and prayers," he said.

In several photos that he shared on Instagram social media, Prabowo and Jokowi were seen chatting in the treatment room. In the same room, there is also the son of Prabowo's only son, namely Regowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo and Aide to the Minister of Defense Major Inf. Teddy Indra Wijaya.
