Getting A Recommended Decree From PAN, Ahmad Ali Affirms That He Will Continue To Run For The Central Sulawesi Gubernatorial Election Even Without NasDem Support

Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali received a decree (SK) recommendation as a candidate for governor of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) from the National Mandate Party (PAN). Ali will be paired with the Chairman of the Central Sulawesi DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Abdul Karim Aljufri.

"Yes, thank God, today I was given a decree by the PAN DPP to become a candidate for Governor of Central Sulawesi. I am very grateful, appreciate the award given or trust given by the National Mandate Party," said Ali at the PAN DPP Office, South Jakarta, Saturday, June 29. Ali said the SK support from PAN was final. So it is certain that Ali will become the 2024 Central Sulawesi cagub. So far Ali has received official support from the Gerindra Party, PKB and PPP.

"With the recommendation from the National Mandate Party, it will complete all political parties to ensure that I meet the requirements to run towards the candidate for Governor of Central Sulawesi Province," said Ali. Regarding the NasDem Party which has not provided a decree on support, Ali admits that he has not received an order from the General Chairperson Surya Paloh. However, he said, the intention to run for the Central Sulawesi gubernatorial election has been expressed since 2020. However, Ali said that he is still needed to manage the party. "Until today, the NasDem Party has not issued a recommendation for the candidate, it is still being discussed because maybe the party has other considerations that because I am still needed to become a member in 2020 yesterday, so when I wanted to run as a candidate for governor by the NasDem party, the general chairman asked me to remain in the party," he said.

"Overall, with the support and coalition of several parties that have expressed their support and provided written recommendations, I have officially met the requirements to run as a candidate for governor," Ali added. Ali emphasized that he would continue to run in the 2024 Central Sulawesi gubernatorial election with or without a letter of recommendation from his party.

"Even without NasDem's support, I will run as a candidate for governor," he said. It is known that the National Mandate Party (PAN) officially submitted a letter of decision (SK) recommendation for support to eight pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor for the 2024 Pilkada.

The decree of support was handed over directly by the General Chairperson of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan during the IV National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the PAN DPP Office, South Jakarta, Saturday, June 29. As for the 8 Paslons supported by PAN in the 2024 governor election (Pilgub), namely, the Murad ismail-Michael Wattimena pair for the Maluku gubernatorial election, the Ahmad Ali-Abdul Karim Aljufri pair for the Central Sulawesi gubernatorial election (Culteng). Then, the Helmi Hasan-Mian pair in the Bengkulu guberna election and the Muhidin-Hasnuryadi Sulaiman pair at the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election (South Kalimantan). Then, the Meki Nawipa cagub in the Central Papua gubernatorial election, Supian Hadi cagub in the Central Kalimantan gubernatorial election, the Epyardi cagub asda in the West Sumatra Pilgub, and the Haris - Abdullah Sani pair in the Jambi guber.
