KPK Investigate Land Purchase By Suspects Of Alleged Corruption To Trans Sumatra Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined 12 witnesses related to allegations of corruption in land acquisition for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. They were questioned regarding the purchase of 54 plots of land which have now been confiscated.

"All witnesses were present," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, June 26.

Tessa then detailed three witnesses, namely Rudi Hartono, who is a notary and staff member, namely Ferry Irawan and Genta Eranda, investigators were questioned regarding the land sale and purchase transactions carried out related to this project. The suspect who made the purchase was the President Commissioner of PT Sanitindo Tangsel Jaya, Iskandar Zulkarnaen.

"The examination was carried out at the South Lampung Police," he said.

Investigators also examined five farmers, namely Abdul Rahman, Rohimi, Intanmas, Syamsul Bahri, Jayadi, and Hasan Yusup.

"Asked about their land sale transactions to suspect IZ," explained Tessa.

Then, the same information was also examined from three witnesses, namely, Dedi Manda who is a private person and Sahroni who is a former Head of Bakauheni Village for the 2015-2021 period.

Finally, the KPK also questioned Nikolas Telegi, who is the Head of the Section for Determination of Rights and Registration of the South Lampung Regency Land Office. "This witness was asked about the origin of the land ownership rights of the sellers," said Tessa.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. Three suspects have been named for causing the state to lose up to tens of billions of rupiah.

They are former President Director of BUMN Hutama Karya, Bintang Perbowo; Head of Hutama Karya Business Development and Investment Division, Mohammad Rizal Sutjipto, and President Commissioner of PT Sanitindo Tangsel Jaya, Iskandar Zulkarnaen.

As for this case, the KPK has confiscated 54 plots of land with an area of 622,233 square meters. This forced effort was carried out on 22 May.

Tessa detailed 54 plots of confiscated land, 32 of which were in Bakauheni Village, South Lampung with an area of 436,305 square meters. While the rest are in Canggu Village, South Lampung, which covers an area of 185,928 square meters.
