Going To Take A Shower Forgets To Turn Off The Stove, One House In Kalisari Cijantung Burns

JAKARTA - Residents of Kalisari, Cijantung, East Jakarta were excited when a house on Jalan Lingkar Sari caught fire, Friday afternoon, June 21. The fire is known to have come from a gas stove left by the owner while making a fried banana.

"The only thing that caught fire was the kitchen. The cause was suspected to be the stove," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed.

The area burned was only the kitchen area of the house measuring 3x3 square meters, with a loss of Rp. 15 million.

"Initially when I was cooking bananas, I was then left to take a shower. Then there was an ignition of a rambatan fire from the stove," he said.

For the process of extinguishing the fire, as many as 4 cars were deployed to the location of the fire. 16 firefighters also struggled to extinguish the fire so that the flames did not spread and grow.

"The process of extinguishing the fire is about 30 minutes. Currently, the fire has been extinguished," he said.
