Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Ensures Kompolnas Goes Down Directly To Monitor Vina Cirebon Case

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto ensured that the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) directly supervised the investigation into the murder cases of Vina Dewi Arsita and Muhammad Rizky alias Eky in Cirebon in 2016.

Hadi believes that Kompolnas will carry out its function of supervising the performance of the National Police, including in investigating the murder case until the trial stage.

"For Vina's case, I have asked Kompolnas to go down to the field and yesterday it went down. Kompolnas has also heard and received a case title and it is planned that on June 24 there will be a pretrial," said Coordinating Minister Hadi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 21.

Hadi emphasized that Kompolnas is serious about carrying out its functions to oversee the performance of the Police in the case, which is currently a public concern.

"I believe this is Kompolnas, they have high integrity to protect the Police," said Coordinating Minister Hadi.

Regarding the investigation into Vina's case, the West Java Regional Police on Thursday (20/6) submitted the case files for the murder of Vina and Eky to the West Java High Prosecutor's Office. West Java Police, as conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol. Jules Abraham Abast in Bandung, Thursday, has also completed the case file for the main suspect on behalf of Pegi Setiawan alias Perong to be transferred to the West Java High Prosecutor's Office.

The West Java Regional Police have examined 68 witnesses related to the murder of Vina and Eky in Cirebon after nearly eight years the case has not been fully resolved.

He said dozens of witnesses were asked for their statements by investigators and they were also asked to take a forensic psychological test.
