Pontianak Polresta Pontianak Pontianak Polsor Kota (Polresta) Pontianak, West Kalimantan examined eight witnesses in the case of the FN woman falling from the third floor of the 'K' Gym.

"We have conducted an investigation and have examined eight witnesses for us to ask for information regarding this incident," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of the Pontianak Police, Kompol Antonius Trias Kuncorojati, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 20.

He explained that this case would continue to be investigated to find out which party was negligent.

"From the information we have obtained, the glass behind the treadmill is actually closed, but there is a member who opens it," he added.

He said he had also conducted an examination of the gym owner and asked for information about the glass.

"Actually, there are writings that are prohibited from being opened but only using markers, so it is not very visible to some people," he said.

He explained the reason the gym owner put the treadmill with his back to the window was to allow treadmill users to look into the gym.

The gym owner said that if the treadmill was facing the window, the view would not be wide and could be boring, so it was made facing the gym and turning back on the window. " he said.

There is no regulation for the gym itself, so the placement of the gym equipment does not have special rules.

"Indeed, there is no special regulation that regulates it, but the treadmill should not turn its back on the window," he said.

The investigation process will continue until it can be clear who made the negligence.

"We will continue to investigate this case and so far all parties are cooperative so that there are no obstacles in the investigation," he added.

Earlier on Wednesday, June 18 at around 13.00 the victim of FN (22) with his younger brother and girlfriend came to the K-Gym fitness center for exercise. But unlucky, FN fell from the third floor of the K- Gym after resigning and behind him there was a window.
