JAKARTA - PT PGN Tbk (PGAS), as the Gas Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), routinely socializes the safety of the use of household gas networks. This is so that all customers can enjoy gas networks without worrying during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.

"Security and safety in using jargas must be conveyed to all customers and the public to anticipate the risks that occur. It is hoped that in terms of customer knowledge related to security, for example closing the valve or gas core if leaving the house for a long time," said PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman quoting Antara.

According to him, PGN is committed to ensuring the safety of the use of natural gas, especially household jargas.

During Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025, PGN is on standby to maintain the security of more than 815,000 customers spread across 74 regencies/cities.

Socialization of the safety of the use of jargas is expected to increase the awareness of customers and the community to jointly maintain natural gas infrastructure in the surrounding environment.

Fajriyah added that natural gas in the jargas had been given a bribe or wood as one of the safety devices.

If you smell gas from the thruster facility, customers can immediately close the valve gas.

"In addition, opening windows or ventilation to anticipate the gas is not accumulated. Then, contact PGN officers to immediately handle and ensure security," he said.

Socialization of the safety of the use of jargas is also aimed at providing education to customers to anticipate things that are not desirable.

Emergency response services operate 24 hours and are contacted through PGN Contact Center 135 or the nearest area office.

"We also urge all customers to immediately contact PGN officers, if there are complaints or obstacles related to pipeline installations, stoves, and other natural gas infrastructure," added Fajriyah.
