Bogor Police Anticipate Congestion Of 4 Points On New Year's Eve

BOGOR - Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, West Java Police, anticipates congestion at four points in its area, which has the potential to become the center of public crowds when welcoming the turn of the new year 2025.

Head of the Operations Section (KBO) of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Lukito in Bogor City, Tuesday, said the four points were Tugu Kujang, Bogor Square, Sempur Field, and Simpang Air Fountain.

To prevent traffic jams and accident risks, Lukito said, the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit prohibits open tub vehicles carrying passengers entering Bogor City on New Year's Eve.

"Open tub vehicles carrying passengers are not allowed to enter Bogor City," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 31.

In addition, he said, the police carried out insulation at several strategic points, such as Ciawi, Yasmin and Simpang Lotte Grosir. If an open tub vehicle is found carrying passengers, especially for parades, drivers will be asked to turn around.

"Usually people from parade villages bring musical instruments using open tubs. We forbid that," he explained.

He also appealed to the public to celebrate the New Year at home with their families, in order to avoid the risk of congestion and traffic accidents that tend to increase on New Year's Eve.

"If we appeal, it is better to wait for the release of the year in each other's homes. Instead of flocking out, the first impact will cause traffic jams, the second usually the accident rate is high on New Year's Eve," he said.

However, for people who still want to leave their homes, Lukito reminded them to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition and carries complete documents.

"Pay attention to personal safety and others," he said.
