The Basement of the Graha CIMB Niaga Building on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Senayan, South Jakarta, Saturday, June 15, experienced a fire. It is suspected that the fire originated from an electrical short circuit. Head of the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Satriadi Gunawan said the fire occurred at around 13.20 WIB. "The object is the Graha CIMB Niaga Building," said Satriadi, Saturday afternoon, June 15. Satriadi said that the source of the fire came from a polyclinic room. There is a possibility of an ignition due to an electrical short circuit. "Maybe the AC pipe forgot to be turned off or what, so we don't know, but if we see a temporary indication from there. Because the current condition is on holiday," he said.

Satriadi said that his party had deployed 17 fire engines to be deployed to the location. There were 70 personnel involved. Fire fighting operations began at 13.37 WIB. "We have deployed up to 17 units with 70 personnel. Because we anticipate that there should be no ups and downs," he said. "Maybe half an hour we make sure first, we make sure there is no more lighting when it is safe we declare the blackout is complete," he said. It is not yet known the losses borne by the building owner and it was reported that there were no casualties in the incident. "From the officers or from the community there were no casualties or injuries," he said.
