Ahead Of Jakarta International Marathon, Central Jakarta Ring 1 Area Still Has Many Chaotic Air Cables

JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma instructed the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-Department (Sudin BM) to tidy up a number of chaotic cables at a number of points, Thursday, June 13.

This chaotic cable treatment is to support the Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) 2024. The chaotic cables, for example, were found on Jalan Perwira, Gambir and Jalan Veteran, Gambir.

"The point is the chains that are not pleasing to the eye, we tidy them up before the Jakarta International Marathon takes place," said Dhany.

Dhany said that his party had given directions regarding chain cables. The tightness of this cable, continued Dhany, so that when Jakarta International Marathon does not harm runners and maintains environmental aesthetics in the Central Jakarta area.

Responding to this, the Central Jakarta Assistant for the Economy and Development (Asekbang), Bakwan Ferizan Ginting, said that the Central Jakarta City Government had given directions to the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. (Sudin) to immediately tidy up cables that still looked chaotic.

"So it is related to the marathon track, the guardian said to tidy up the tightening air cable, it has not been neatly arranged, yesterday morning I called the Head of the Bina Marga Sub-dept. so that it is tidied up at least so it does not hang out," he said.

In addition, the Central Jakarta City Government also gave directions to the Bina Marga Sub-Department to repair if there were potholes around the Jakarta International Maraton area later.

"So we are trying this marathon as much as possible so that this trajectory becomes clean, beautiful and comfortable to pass. We have firmly directed the construction of the chaotic cables, maybe the potholed road that can endanger runners has also been carried out on Jalan Merdeka Barat," he said.
