Ahead Of The Indonesia Vs Philippines Match In SUGBK, The Police Hold A Raid Of Alcohol And Firecrackers

JAKARTA - The police will conduct raids on firecrackers and liquor (alcohol) ahead of the match that determines the second round of Indonesia's 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Philippines at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (SUGBK), Central Jakarta, Tuesday night, June 11.

"There is (a raid on firecrackers, flares and alcohol)," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indardi when confirmed, Tuesday, June 11.

Ade Ary said there were 2,086 joint personnel deployed to secure Indonesia's continued match against the Philippines. He said these thousands of personnel consisted of the TNI-Polri to the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov).

"STRONG involving 2,086 security personnel. Consisting of BKO Polda Metro Jaya, 1,542 personnel, Task Force Res Ranks 335 personnel, BKO TNI, 102 personnel," he said.

"209 personnel (Satpol PP, Dishub, Dinkes and Damkar)," he continued.

Regarding traffic engineering, said Ade Ary, it will be enforced to see conditions on the ground. He also appealed to supporters not to carry sharp weapons (sajam) and firecrackers.

"(In addition) to the community, road users should avoid the area and look for other alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion," he said.
