4 Elected PDIP Candidates Replaced, Central Java KPU Sets After The Plenary Meeting

JAKARTA - The Umun Election Commission (KPU) has determined the change of four elected candidates for members of the Central Java DPRD (Central Java) from the PDI-P (PDIP) who previously submitted their resignations.

"A change has been determined through the plenary meeting on Friday (June 7)," said Central Java KPU chairman Handi Tri Ujiono in Semarang, Sunday, June 9, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the change in the name of the elected candidate for the Central Java DPRD as a result of the 2024 election was stated in the Central Java KPU Decree Number 71 of 2024.

The names of four PDIP candidates who were changed to each from the Central Java 2 electoral district, Dyah Kartika Permanasari were replaced by Leonardo Ludwig Krisnanda.

From the electoral district of Central Java 8, Eko Susilo was replaced by Ribut Budi Santoso; Central Java electoral district 9, Elizabeth Intan Kurniasari was replaced by Muhammad Hajar Zainudin; and Central Java electoral district 13, Ahmad Ridwan was replaced by Putro Negoro Rek Theytho.

Apart from PDIP, the Central Java KPU has also determined the replacement of one elected candidate from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

The candidate for the Central Java electoral district 7 from PKS who died before the KPU was determined, Quatly Abdulkadir Alkatiri was replaced by Martono.

According to Handi, before the name change for the elected candidate was determined, the KPU had clarified to the political party that proposed the replacement.

"At the PDIP, we have asked for clarification directly to the Secretary of the Central Java PDIP DPD," he said.

Then for PKS, he continued, documents related to the replacement of legislative candidates who died have also been clarified.

The Central Java KPU appointed 120 elected members of the Central Java Provincial DPRD in a plenary meeting on May 28, 2024.

In determining the number of seats, there were 10 political parties that qualified for the Central Java Provincial DPRD.

The ten parties each PKB received 20 seats, Gerindra Party 17 seats, PDIP 33 seats, Golkar Party 17 seats, Nasdem Party 3 seats, PKS 11. chair, PAN 4 seats, Democratic Party 7 seats, PSI 2 seats, and PPP 6 seats.
