JAKARTA - As many as 170 schools in Bogor Regency, West Java, have started to hold face-to-face learning trials after a long period of implementing online learning since the pandemic emerged.
"Of the 232 schools that were proposed the results of verification and validation that passed were 171 schools, and one Islamic school had withdrawn, so the total permits issued by the Education Office were 170 schools", said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin in Cibinong Bogor, reported by Antara, Monday, March 15th.
Hundreds of schools that are conducting trials starting today consist of 29 public elementary schools, 24 Islamic elementary schools (MI), 28 junior high schools, 18 Islamic junior high schools, 7 Islamic high schools, 32 high schools, and 32 vocational schools.
"Face-to-face learning is carried out in each sub-district one level of education, starting from Elementary schools, Islamic elementary schools, junior high schools, Islamic junior high schools, high schools, Islamic high schools, and vocational schools", said the Head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force.
Ade Yasin said that the trial was carried out for one month, starting March 9-April 10 2021. If in practice there are students or teachers who are positive for COVID-19, then learning at the school will re-implement online learning.

He said education units that are allowed to implement face-to-face schools must still serve online learning if the parents do not give their children permission to go to school.
"However, based on the results of verification and validation, around 72-95 percent of parents agree to be implemented", said Ade Yasin.
The Bogor Regency Government allows face-to-face learning trials in line with the extension of the Enforcement of Micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) which is effective from 9-22 March 2021.
The regulation is outlined in the Bogor Regent Decree (Kepbup) number 443/202/Kpts/Per-UU/2021 regarding micro-scale PPKM (KR-MFS).
