VinFast Sends 2,500 Electric Vehicles To Indonesia, What Are The Models?

VinFast confirmed its commitment to the Indonesian market by sending electric vehicles from the MPC Pelabihan in Hai Phong, Vietnam to Jakarta. The manufacturer carried 2,500 units of cars using a special ship, Silver Queen.

It was stated that the shipment was the fourth and largest in Indonesia, where this was achieved only after VinFast showed its existence in the country's market since a year ago.

The shipments cover four models to Indonesian territory, consisting of VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, and Nerio Green. Some of these models have been specially produced for the country's market with a right steering wheel.

Global Deputy CEO of Sales VinFast, Duong Thi Thu Trang said the shipment is expected to gain significant sales this year.

"With the support of a strong ecosystem as well as a smart and modern range of vehicles, we are targeting significant sales achievements this year," said Duong Thi Thu Trang, in a statement received on Tuesday, March 11.

The ship, which houses many of these vehicles, was dispatched on March 8 and is scheduled to arrive at Jakarta Port on March 11-12, depending on weather conditions.

Upon arrival at the port, this manufacturer from Vietnam will distribute the EV to the dealer network so that it can be sent to customers immediately before Eid celebration.

Indonesia is the main market for VinFast in Asia Tungga with great growth potential in the electric vehicle segment. Now, the manufacturer has three model lines consisting of VF 3, VF 5, and VF e34.

This manufacturer's commitment was also strengthened by the presence of the Xanh SM fleet at the end of 2024, a 100 percent taxi service for electric vehicles from VinFast. Not only that, they also launched V-Green in accelerating the development of charging infrastructure in the country.
