500 Thousand Divorces Occur In Indonesia Every Year, BKKBN: Not To Mention 1 House But Long Silent

Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Hasto Wardoyo regrets that 500 thousand divorces occur in Indonesia every year.

This condition, he continued, caused losses to children who were left behind, because when parents divorced, then there were hundreds of thousands of widows whose economic fate needed to be taken into account, especially since the BKKBN noted that in a number of areas, widows were in extreme poor groups.

"Therefore, today, we are not only building our bodies, stunting is decreasing, the use of contraception increases, but also builds their souls," said Hasto.

In his speech at the launch of the service for the million acceptors, the Head of BKKBN reminded the importance of mental health because apart from its impact on divorce, it is also on the use of narcotics.

He advised children and grandchildren to be well educated, because today 5.1 percent of the population has been exposed to narcotics. Even BKKBN noted that the population in Indonesia's large detention center was dominated by cases of drug addiction.
