Police Arrested Motorcycle Gang In West Jakarta While Carrying Sickles

JAKARTA - A teenager with the initials DAP (16) could only surrender when he was arrested by a police officer. DAP was arrested for being caught carrying a sharp weapon of a large sickle type.

From his confession, DAP is a member of a motorcycle gangster named "West Set". DAP was arrested when he was about to launch an attack on another group.

Kebon Jeruk Police Chief Kompol Sutrisno said the arrest began when a teenager with the initials DAP received a Whatsapp message from an unknown person.

DAP was ordered to come to the Depok area. Together with his friend, the DAP went to Depok on a motorbike.

"Arriving in Depok, the DAP met with the sender of the message, who turned out to be a member of the West Set gangster group," said the police chief when confirmed, Thursday, May 30.

After meeting members of the West Set gangster, DAP and other gangsters then headed to the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta. DAP carries a long sickle measuring 140 cm in purple with a width of 3.5 cm and a wooden handle.

"The sickle was tucked in the right leg and attached to the body of the motorcycle," he said.

The perpetrators also had time to party to ciu liquor. After getting drunk, they left for the Duri Kepa area by riding a motorcycle. They planned a clash between gangsters in Duri Kepa.

However, upon arrival, they were dispersed by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team together with members of the Kebon Jeruk Police who were conducting regional patrols.

"DAP was successfully arrested along with evidence in the form of sickles that he brought. Furthermore, the DAP was taken to the Kebon Jeruk Police for further investigation and investigation," he said.

As a result of his actions, the DAP was charged with articles related to storing, carrying, controlling sharp weapons in public without a permit, and/or brawl, as referred to in Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951.
