Not Invite Jokowi For The Form Of Firmness Of PDIP's Attitude

The PDI-P's decision not to invite President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) was referred to as a form of firmness in the attitude of the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri.

In addition, this decision could be a sign that the relationship between Jokowi and Megawati was no longer in line because of Jokowi's attitude against PDIP in the 2024 presidential election.

"Indeed, PDIP really doesn't recognize Jokowi as a cadre anymore, does not recognize him as an official for his party," said Executive Director of Indonesia Political Review (IPR), Ujang Komaruddin, Sunday, May 19, 2024.

According to him, Megawati and PDIP's firmness towards Jokowi became a follow-up episode where the tension between the two would last quite a long time. Jokowi's absence from the National Working Meeting, continued Ujang, was considered in retaliation for PDIP's heartache over the presidential election contestation.

"At the same time, this indicates that Jokowi's relationship with Megawati and PDIP is currently cracked, otherwise it can be called destroyed," he added.

He emphasized that the busy reasons raised by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat as the basis for not inviting Jokowi, including Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, were a formality. Because, basically PDIP is reluctant to invite the two leaders of the country.

"So the busy reason is the reason that is being made up. But the point is that PDIP does not want to invite Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin and that is part of the PDIP's anger. And this indicates that PDIP's relationship with Ma'ruf Amin also experienced obstacles, rifts or disharmists," explained Ujang.
