The family of the victim Ahmad Efendi (38) who was found dead in the Sodong River, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, finally came to the Pulogadung Police, Wednesday, May 15.

The arrival of the victim's family was to find out the results of the investigation and development process of the case.

"We encourage the police to work significantly to further reveal who is behind the perpetrators," said Ahmad Saugi Saahab, representative of the victim's family to VOI at the Pulo Gadung Police Headquarters, East Jakarta.

Ahmad Saugi suspects that the perpetrator of the violence against the victim Ahmad Efendi (38) is a close person.

"Because maybe our guess is that this perpetrator is not a distant person. Because judging from the chronology in this case, there are irregularities. If you say robbery, it's far from my assumption," he said.

Ahmad Saugi explained that the alleged act of violence against the victim Ahmad Efendi (38) appeared after before his death, the victim had communicated with his family using his lost cellphone.

"The victim had a video call with the family. There were bruises and bleeding (on the victim's face). So a search was carried out," he said.

Dalam komunikasi terakhir bersama pihak keluarga, korban sempat melakukan video call dengan pihak keluarga dan hanya menyebutkan kaliran singkat.

"Because the last victim spoke to his family, he only said 'Position in BKT'. It turned out that the crime scene where the body was found was in Sodong River, Pulogadung," he said.

The number of irregularities in the chronology and digital record of victims during life, until finally they were found dead, made big questions in the families of the victims. For this reason, the family asked the Pulogadung Police to immediately disclose the case.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police had not been able to conclude the cause of death of a man named Ahmad Efendi (38) whose body was found in the Sodong River, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, a few days ago.

The victim, who is registered as a resident of West Cakung, Cakung District, East Jakarta, is still undergoing an autopsy at the RSCM to reveal the exact cause of death of the victim and the motive for his death.

"We are waiting for the results of the investigation, because the autopsy results have not yet come out. We are still waiting," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Police, AKBP Armunanto when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, May 15.
