Makassar Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested two perpetrators of criminal acts of theft and embezzlement of telecommunications equipment QUad Small Form Factor Pluggable (QSFP) or STB data center belonging to provider XL Axiata.

"The perpetrator has the initials ANR (29 years old) who is an unemployed technician and BGS (22 years old). Both are currently being prosecuted," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Makassar Polrestabes, Kompol Devi Sujana in Makassar, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 13.

The two perpetrators have been named suspects and charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a maximum threat of five years in prison and Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a weighted penalty of a maximum of 7 years in prison, while the collectors are also prosecuted.

The perpetrators are employees of a partner company working on the XL Axiata Data Center project at KIMA Makassar. Perpetrators abuse their duties and authorities easily carry out their actions without raising suspicions by security officers.
