Police Name Two Suspects In The Premeditated Murder Case Of Elderly Men In Garut

JAKARTA Two men in Garut, West Java are suspects in the murder case of an elderly man in the Ngamplanng area, Cilawu District, Garut Regency, West Java. One of the two suspects is a member of a motorcycle gang.

"We have arrested the perpetrator, one of whom is a member of a motorcycle gang," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ari Rinaldo, Antara, Friday, May 10.

Two suspects, namely TR (34) a resident of Cilawu District, and HH (19) a resident of Garut Kota District who had fled out of town after committing the murder of victim Alex (72) at his home in the Ngamplang area, last Sunday, May 5.

The police managed to arrest the suspect TR in the Bandung area, while HH was arrested in Bekasi based on information from a number of witnesses who were gathered and CCTV footage at the scene.

"The perpetrator fled out of town, one was arrested in Bekasi, and the other was arrested in Bandung," he said.

The two suspects were detained for further legal proceedings and charged under Article 340 concerning premeditated murder with the threat of maximum imprisonment or life imprisonment.
