JAKARTA Member of the Judicial Commission (KY) Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata said that his party had followed up on reports regarding the issue of the leadership of the Supreme Court (MA) who was allegedly treated to dinner by lawyers at a restaurant in East Java.

"To find an alleged violation of the code of ethics, KY has followed up on the report," Mukti said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 8.

Mukti explained that the judge's supervisory team (waskim) and the KY investigation were investigating the report.

"Until now, the team is still interpreting it," he said.

If the results of the investigation find a strong suspicion of a violation of the judge's behavior, then KY will conduct an examination of the judge concerned.

Mukti also emphasized that KY could not reveal the names reported during the investigation process.

According to Mukti, the results of the investigation found several findings of information, but he said the information obtained was still very vague, so further research was needed.

"For example, when this happened, who was present, who paid, and others, so that from an investigative point of view it still needed to be explored, traced the validity of the information, and looked for related evidence, according to the procedures for handling reports," he added.

Previously, the Head of the Supervision of Judges and Investigations of KY Joko Sasmito confirmed that KY had received a report regarding allegations that the MA leadership had received a dinner from a lawyer in Surabaya, East Java.

However, Joko has not yet informed the names reported.

"There has been a report submitted to KY and is currently still in process at KY," Joko told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/4).
