2 Will Cagub DKI Independent Consultation To KPU DKI: Retired General Bintang 3 And Commissioner Of BUMN

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province serves consultations regarding the fulfillment of the requirements for supporting candidates for individual governor-deputy governors for the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

DKI Jakarta KPU member Dody Wijaya said that currently there are 2 candidates who intend to advance on an individual or independent path.

"There are already 2 teams from baulon who have consulted with the DKI Jakarta KPU, first from Pak Dharma Pongrekun's team, the second we today received consultation from the winning team of Noer Fajriansyah," said Dody at the DKI Jakarta KPU office, Monday, May 6.

Dharma Pongrekun is a retired three-star general who has served as Deputy Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) in 2019-2021.

This retired police officer also served as the Director of Drugs and Drugs at Bareskrim Polri with a 2016-2016 term, as well as the Wadirtipidum Bareskrim Polri in 2015.

Meanwhile, Noer Fajriansyah is a Commissioner of PT Petrokimia Gresik since 2021. Fajri, who is the husband of Golkar politician Meutya Hafid, has also served as General Chair of KNPI for the 2018-2021 period.

Dody explained that the two independent gubernatorial candidates were still consulting the KPU regarding the mechanism for supporting requirements for them to pass registration as candidates.

Referring to Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning Pilkada, individual DKI cagubs can register if they have received at least 7.5 percent of the population in the voter list in the region.

Thus, every pair of DKI cagub-cawagub independent lanes must pocket 618,968 voters who support and spread across 4 regencies-cities.

"This support is evidenced by an ID card and support which will be uploaded through an application by the candidate pair that will be submitted on May 8-12," explained Dody.
