PAN Calls Eko Patrio A Candidate For Minister, Deputy Gerindra: Maybe Get Directly From Prabowo

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman responded to the statement by the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan who mentioned the name of his cadre, Eko Hendro Purnomo alias Eko Patrio as a ministerial candidate in the Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet. Habiburokhman suspects that Eko Patrio's name was directly approved by the elected President, Prabowo Subianto as one of the ministerial candidates from PAN. "Because it was Zul who conveyed it, Bang Zul was the chairman, of course the chairman had a special communication channel with Pak Prabowo. Yes, maybe, I suspect it was obtained directly from Pak Prabowo," said Habiburokhman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, May 6. The member of the DPR for the Jakarta electoral district does not mind if Eko is elected as a ministerial candidate who will fill the ministry post in the Prabowo government. On the other hand, he feels proud that there are ministers from his area. "Yes, we're just having fun, if Eko is from East Jakarta, right, so he has my ministerial friend. I'm proud too," he said. Habiburokhman assessed that Eko's figure was worthy of being a minister if he saw his track record during his time as a politician. "Yes, if this is a cut, Eko also deserves to be a minister. So, I think it is appropriate for Mr. Eko to become a minister," he said. Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan referred to Eko Patrio as a ministerial candidate. This was conveyed by Zulhas when mentioning several PAN cadres who have the potential to run in the Jakarta Pilkada.
