Alleged Violations Of The Belu Police Chief, NTT Police Dispatched An Investigation Team

The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTT) sent a team to the Belu Police to check the truth about the alleged violation committed by the Belu Police Chief AKBP Simanjuntak.

"The team has been dispatched to check the information circulating," said Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Pol Ariasandy, quoted from Antara, Sunday, May 5.

Previously, said Ariasandy, his party received a letter of cans containing reports of alleged violations made by the Belu Police Chief.

However, the can letter sent by the complainant without specifying who sent it showed the lack of clarity and validity of the information submitted.

"Based on the data, clues, witness information, and evidence that has been collected, there have been no indications of violations committed by the Belu Police Chief as reported," he said.

However, his party will continue to investigate the report and will continue to carry out surveillance and handling in a transparent and fair manner, as well as respect the principle of presumption of innocence in every legal process that takes place.

Regarding the issue of extortion by the Belu Police Chief circulating in the media/social media, the NTT Police advised the extortion victim to report to the NTT Police Propam by including clear evidence, because until now there has been no report from the businessman or the public regarding the extortion case.

The former South Central Timor Police Chief (TTS) emphasized that if it is proven that there is a violation, the NTT Police will not tolerate any form of violation of the law by its members and will take firm action in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
