Berinding, Warga Pondok Kopi Diserang Penyakit Gatal-gatal

JAKARTA - Residents of Jalan Pondok Kopi Raya, Gg Si'in RT 01/01, Pondok Kopi Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta experienced itching on Thursday, May 2.

After investigating the cause, apparently there is a fur caterpillar nest in an empty garden. Residents also reported to the nearest Damkar Sector officer to evacuate the fur caterpillar's nest.

"After receiving the report, we deployed 4 personnel from the coffee booth task force for handling. The tool used by the manual electric sprayer contains a carbol drug of 450 milli which is mixed with 15 liters of clean water. Then we sprayed it into the fur caterpillar's nest garden with four fillings," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Thursday, May 2.

The vacant garden area at the fur caterpillar headquarters was sprayed with carbolic liquid covering an area of 100 square meters. The handling process lasted for 90 minutes.

"Initially there were residents who were attacked with itching, it turned out that there were many caterpillars from the garden. According to residents' information, previously the badminton nest was in a petai tree but it was cut down, so the fur caterpillars spread to residential areas," he said.

Until now, the situation in handling the evacuation of the fur caterpillar's nest has been conducive. Pondok Kopi residents were also freed from the terror attack on the caterpillar's nest.
