Gibran: Local Government Prioritizes Settlement Of Sriwedari Land Dispute

Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka stated that the local government is currently prioritizing the settlement of Sriwedari land disputes compared to the construction of mosques in the disputed land. "Please allow, for the Sriwedari Mosque because it was previously established on an automatic disputed land that was a priority, not the construction first, but to resolve the legal case first," said Gibran after the Surakarta City DPRD Plenary Meeting in Solo, Central Java, Antara, Tuesday, April 30. This answers the Surakarta City DPRD which considers the construction of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque outside of planning in the 2021-2026 Solo City RPJMD document, especially in the middle of the city there is an unfinished Sriwedari Mosque. "From the start, there was no fall, there was no committee decree there. That's what we resolved. So, I think the construction can be said to be backward or stalled because of the problems that existed before," he said. According to him, the Surakarta City Government cannot complete development on disputed land. "But that's okay, we have finished this. We have cleaned the administration on instructions, based on input from the prosecutor's office, we have also started the committees to immediately complete their homework (homework/PR)," he said. He also emphasized that the construction of the Sriwedari Mosque did not use the APBD. "That's why the homework was completed, including debts with WIKA," he said. Asked about the extent of the completion of the Sriwedari Mosque construction, he asked the committee to answer it.

Meanwhile, the construction of the Sriwedari Mosque began to be carried out since the FX administration of Hadi Rudyatmo-Acmad Purnomo. In fact, the Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Achmad Purnomo, became the chairman of the Sriwedari Mosque construction committee.
