Regarding The Chance Of Meeting With Prabowo-Gibran, Anies: I'm Not A Party Leader

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan opened his voice about the opportunity for him to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government after losing the 2024 presidential election and election disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK). Anies admitted that he was only an ordinary person. Thus, he has no political interest in changing course in supporting his former competitors in the future government. "Is I a party? The team has finished. Then I am not the party leader. I am a citizen now," said Anies when met at his residence, Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 30. Anies also admitted that he had not designed a step forward after losing the 2024 presidential election competition. Even though he has quite a lot of supporters, Anies has not thought about having a relationship in the organization of the community or political parties. "There are no plans for mass organizations, let alone political parties," said Anies. Anies said that he did plan to continue the idea of change that had been brought during the 2024 presidential election campaign period. However, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta will still think carefully about how to implement the activities that will be carried out from this idea. This, according to Anies, is necessary so that the steps he takes do not have a negative impact on the political parties that carry him in the election.

"We have not discussed this format and there are no ideas, ideas regarding mass organizations, let alone parties. It feels like yesterday's trip with PKB, NasDem, PKS, it's been a comfortable, good journey. Well, we take care of this," explained Anies.
