JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to hand over 10,323 electronic land certificates resulting from land redistribution in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province (East Java), Tuesday, April 30.

"This morning, after leaving Palu, the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN returned to Jakarta and immediately left for Banyuwangi," said Head of the Public Relations Bureau (Humas) of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Lampri in a statement in Jakarta, Monday, April 29.

Lampri said that on the agenda, President Jokowi would be accompanied by the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

Lampri explained that at least 5,000 representatives will attend directly to fulfill the location of the certificate submission at the Tawang Alun Sports Center, Banyuwangi.

"The total certificates that will be submitted are 10,323 results from the Land Redistribution Program. All of them are in the form of electronic land certificates," said Lampri.

Lampri added that Minister AHY had just submitted a certificate of land consolidation results for permanent housing (Huntap) in Petobo, Palu City, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi).

"During his visit to Palu, Minister AHY also gave a public lecture to the academic community at Tadulako University on Sunday (April 28) night," said Lampri.

Previously, ATR/BPN Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono ensured that the electronic land certificate security system was good, and safer when compared to conventional certificates.

"Electronic land certificates are safer. Why? We have a strict security system, I have visited the Data and Information Center of the Ministry of ATR/BPN in Cikeas, I checked for security issues," said AHY, Agus' nickname, during his working visit to the Makassar City Land Office, South Sulawesi, Sunday.

AHY added that electronic land certificates are also safer than conventional certificates that are more vulnerable to being lost, burned, affected by flooding, and even stolen by the land mafia.

"With an electronic certificate, everything is clearly recorded," said AHY.
