Notary Case In Palembang Sells Student Dormitory In Yogyakarta, Suspects And Barbuk Delegated To The Prosecutor's Office

The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) handed over the suspect notary initials EM along with evidence (barbuk in the corruption case of selling student dormitory assets in Yogyakarta to the Palembang District Attorney's Office (Kejari).

The suspect EM was detained at the Palembang Class II A Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas) for 20 days until May 8, 2024. "The basis for carrying out detention is as stipulated in Article 21 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, namely in the case of concerns that the suspect will run away, lose evidence or repeat the crime," said Head of the South Sumatra Attorney General's Office, Vanni Yulia Eka Sari in Palembang, Friday, April 19, confiscated by Antara.

He explained, in this case there were six suspects. Apart from EM, other suspects with the initials ZT, DK, NW, and two others have died AS (late) and MR (late).

Vanni said that the mode of crime committed by the suspects, namely EM as a notary in Palembang, made 97 deed of foundation assets aimed at selling the dormitory of a prayer room student in Yogyakarta which was carried out by suspects MR and ZT.

In this case, suspect EM was accused of violating Primair : Article 2 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law number: 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended by law number : 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to law number: 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code. Then Subsidair: Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number: 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended by law Number: 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to law Number: 31 of 1999 concerning eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
