DKI KPU Invites RK-Suswono And Dharma-Kun To Appoint Pramono-Rano As Elected Governors

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta KPU Community Voter and Participation Division, Astri Megatari, said that his party would invite all pairs of candidates for the Jakarta gubernatorial election when appointing Pramono Anung-Rano Karno as the elected Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta.

The candidate pairs that competed and lost in the Jakarta gubernatorial election were Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.

"Our plan is to invite all candidate pairs in a plenary meeting," Astri told reporters, Wednesday, December 18.

However, the DKI Jakarta KPU has not yet determined the time and location to hold a plenary meeting to determine the elected governors and governors as a result of the 2024 Pilkada.

"We are still designing the location and conditions when we make the determination," said Astri.

The KPU is also still waiting for the Constitutional Court to submit the Constitutional Case Registration Book (BRPK). Based on Constitutional Court Regulation Number 4 of 2024, the Court will submit BRPK to the KPU from 19 to 20 December.

After that, the DKI Jakarta KPU will announce the elected governors and deputy governors no later than three days after that.

The Jakarta KPU previously appointed candidate for governor and deputy governor number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno or Bang Doel as the winner of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. The decision was taken through an open plenary meeting on Sunday, December 8.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, the minutes and certification of the recapitulation of the vote count results from each city district in the election for governor and deputy governor of the special Jakarta area in 2024, I declare it valid," said Chairman of the DKI KPU Wahyu Dinata at Sari Pan Pacific, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, December 8.

The Pramono-Rano pair got 2,183,239 votes. Meanwhile, pair number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, won 1,718,160 votes.

For the final position of the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor number 2, Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardhana. This independent candidate got 459,230 votes.

Wahyu detailed the acquisition of all valid votes, amounting to 4,360,629. All votes are valid and invalid at 4,724,393. Meanwhile, the number of users of the right to vote reached 4,724,393 of the total final voter list (DPT) 8,214,007.
