The Contraflow Line On The Cikampek Toll Road To Jakarta Is Extended

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol extended the contraflow system which changed the normal flow of vehicles on the highway to Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from KM 70 to KM 47.

"Previously, a one-way 'contraflow' was applied from KM 55 to KM 47 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road at 20.30 WIB on discretion from the Police," said Vice President (VP) Corporate Secretary and Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Ria Marlinda Paallo as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 12.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has extended the "contraflow" one year from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta for the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road starting at 21.42 WIB.

According to him, the volume of vehicle traffic towards Jakarta on the Jakarta 'Cikampek Toll Road is starting to increase so that an extension of the "contraflow" system is implemented.

He appealed to all road users to anticipate travel, ensure that vehicles are in prime condition and that electronic money is sufficient.

Then refuel before starting the trip and carrying supplies to avoid overcrowding at rest areas.

"Always be careful when driving, obey signs and follow directions from officers in the field," he said.

Previously, the Marketing and Communication Department Head of PT Jasa Marga Tbk Faiza Riani said that this year the peak of backflow is predicted to take place on Monday (15/4).

To avoid long queues of vehicles, his party appealed to the public to avoid travel at their favorite times, namely morning and evening.

"We urge the public to travel back to Jabotabek early before the predicted time becomes the peak of backflow or for those who have time lag," he said.

His party invited the public to shift the trip as well as take advantage of the 20 percent toll tariff discount which will be implemented from Wednesday (17/4) to 05.00 to Friday (19/4) at 05.00 WIB.

The discount applies to the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang (Central Java) to Jakarta only for the origin of the Kalikangkung GT to the Cikampek Utama GT.
